STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
Hunsaker & Associates utilizes a comprehensive approach to Stormwater Management for every project. This process is initiated very early on in the development of concept project plans.
The integration of planning, civil engineering, and hydrology specialists within one firm allows us to create innovative project solutions that result in an efficient and comprehensive Water Quality Plan.
IMPROVEMENT PLANS, STORM DRAINS, CHANNELS, and DAMS
We prepare improvement plans for drainage systems ranging from local storm drains, through all types of lined and unlined open channels, to the design of dams regulated by the State Division of Safety of Dams. We also process plans for the federal Emergency Management Agency, Including HEC-2 studies for the Department of Defense.
STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLANS (SWPPP)
Best management practices (BMPs) as defined by each jurisdiction are selected and made a part of the SWPPP. Training of on-site personnel in the implementation of the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and BMPs allows company staff to carry out the requirements for storm water sampling, dry season observations, and preparation of annual plan updates. Required various water quality plans can also be prepared. In addition, annual site inspections, wet/dry weather observations, and sampling can be performed by Hunsaker & Associates' field technicians during their quarterly inspections.
